Most recent former king of Korpesh
The former king, deceased. Ruled increasingly harshly throughout his 60 year reign, and is responsible for Korpesh’s fortunes being on the fall. Hator I is widely believed to have been mad, and his actions through his reign do little to disprove this sentiment. While he began as a distant but fair monarch in his youth, he became increasingly arbitrary and disconnected as he aged, leaving most of the day to day running of the country up to his ministers, and occasionally releasing odd and occasionally even harmful proclamations. His most famous proclamation, which was ‘misinterpreted’ by the City Guard in order to preserve the peace, was to declare the lives of all non-humans forfeit, and demand they present themselves to the palace for summary execution. This proclamation has down more to single-handedly fan the flames of the non-human revolutionary sentiments than any other event in Korpesh’s history. The people have become disillusioned with the monarchy because of his repeated irrational, hostile, and destructive actions. Hator I had no direct descendents, and when he died the throne passed to his nephew, Argon III. A Significant amount of hope was placed on him repairing the damage done by Hator I, but he has made little progress in the two years since he was crowned.
